Starting the heating system in a multi-storey building

The systematic rise in the price of energy source makes you think about disconnecting from Central heating. Adding to this the complete lack of guarantees from public utilities of compliance with a comfortable temperature regime, ordinary thoughts turn to the direction of searching for a real alternative.

How to save on heating? The Realities Of Ukraine

The complexity of interaction with public utilities and the unprofitability of using centralized heating have made alternative methods of autonomous heating popular. There is an opinion that heating with electric appliances is long, expensive and impractical.

Of course, in the case of electric convectors that were used earlier, this was indeed the case. Today, they have been replaced by a new type of equipment – infrared panels, which can not only give you the advantages of using autonomous heating, but also completely save you from paperwork.

Let's look at the existing examples of how this issue is implemented in our country. After all, the proof of all of the above can be given real examples of houses and even entire cities that have abandoned the Central heating system in favor of electric heating."

Electric Heating Kamenskoe, Rubezhnoye, Pavlograd, Kyiv

The most striking example for the whole of Ukraine was the city of Kamenskoye (formerly Dneprodzerzhinsk), where in the period from 2018 to 2020 there was a massive transition from Central heating to infrared panels.

A big advantage in this matter was the state program of assistance to privileged categories of the population – the installation and panels themselves were provided free of charge. Electric heating in Kamenskoye is carried out on a turnkey basis using two of the most popular models of infrared panels:

  • Teploceramic TC 396 (designed for small rooms).
  • Teploceramic TCM 800 (for rooms with an area of more than 15 sq. m.).

Installing a regulator in each room allows residents to independently control the temperature regime in the room, and save on electricity bills. Thus, already in 2019, electric heating in Kamenskoye became a reality, which allowed us to get rid of unnecessary financial expenses and provide comfort to the population.

Of course, from a global point of view, the issue of switching to electric heating of entire cities raises a lot of questions, starting with the ability of electric networks to withstand such voltage and ending with electricity tariffs. However, in practice, it is much easier to ensure the functionality of the power grid than to ensure the operation of an entire water heating system.

Proof of this is individual heating in Rubezhnoye, where the city was forced to abandon it due to the unsatisfactory Central heating system.

Individual heating in Rubezhnoye

Today, in Rubezhnoye, infrared heating is becoming the norm for the entire city.

Reviews of electric heating in Pavlograd also did their job. The city does not have a state program, but it is estimated that more than 30% of citizens switched to electric heating on their own initiative.

Not only complex cities can be without Central heating. Our practice is known for the case of an unscrupulous developer of the Kyiv multi-storey building of the Flagman residential complex, which left its residents without heating at all. And then, back in 2016, the residents of this house initiated the purchase of infrared panels. They found a supplier and got a good price thanks to a large order."

The situation is similar in Dnipro, but without critical measures – the developer chose more cost-effective heating with infrared panels.

Installation of thermal Ceramics in apartment buildings in Rivne, Kyiv, Uzhgorod, Kharkiv region:

• Apartment building /OSBB in Ostrog, Rivne region;

• Apartment building /OSBB in Shubkiv village, Rivne region;

• Apartment building /OSBB in the village of Olexandria, Rivne region;

• Apartment building /OSBB in Rivne;

• Apartment building /OSBB in Uzhgorod, Zakarpattia region;

• Apartment building /OSBB in the town of Vyshneve, Kyiv region;

• Apartment building /OSBB in Kharkiv.

Why do city authorities and developers choose infrared panels?

Real-world examples of the use of advanced electric heating are already nearby. They are actively used in our country and many people choose this type of individual heating on their own initiative.

There are several reasons for this:

• installation of such a system is much easier from a technical point of view, in some cases you only need to improve the wiring to make the system;

• can be installed in an apartment with ready-made repairs;

• significant energy savings due to the principle of operation of infrared panels;

• the installed controller allows you to control a comfortable temperature and reduce electricity costs."

As a result, you get a fully functioning system that provides comfort and helps you save money.
